2007 - A year full of Exciting Events.

February Lunch Hour Concert

This event was held at the North West University Mafikeng Campus ( Senate Suit) Members of the university management were invited. The choir rendered an exciting repertoire which impressed the audience

UBUNTU FESTIVAL 2007

Date               : 21 April 2007 at the Chris Hani Centre (North West University)

Performers in this event were - hip Hop Pantsula, Ngoma Vuma Africa under Peter Okeno, University Of Pretotia Chorale under Mbuso Ndlovu and North West University Choir under Sydney Masetlhe  

5 Universities Concert

Venue : University Of Pretoria Musion

In May 2007 NWU Choir participed in the 5 Universities concert with UP Chorale, Wits Choir , University of Limpopo chorale and University Of Johannesburg Choir.

SACMA COMPETITIONS

NWU Choir obtained the first positin under Male and Female Sections at the South African Choral Music Association Eisteddfod (SACMA)

This was the first competion for the choir under the directorship of Mr Sydney Masetlhe.

AFRICAN RENAISSANCE CONCERT

NWU CHOIR performed with Sibongile Mngoma, Legal Wise Choir, UP Chorale and Wits Choir in Pretoria.

All choir were celebrating various cultures of South Africa. 

NCF 2007 REGIONAL ELLININATIONS

For the third year in a row NWU choir won the regional elliminations of Oldmutual/ Telkom National chor festival 2007 and will be representing the North West Province at the National Finals in Durban on the 9th and 10th of December 2007.
